UV/Vis+ Photochemistry Database / Preserve Data & Information

Dear Colleagues,

The on-line UV/Vis+ Photochemistry Database has a very high visibility within the scientific community. The database contains spectral information (gas, liquid and solid phase from EUV-VUV-UV-Vis-NIR) and related data (e.g.  information concerning publications on quantum yield studies or photolysis studies) from published peer-reviewed papers that covers almost all aspects of the interaction of light and matter, including photochemistry, photophysics and spectroscopy, photobiology, biomedical science, agricultural science, photochemical aspects of materials science, etc.

Many important information gets lost due to technical forgetting. Many types of data are not being used for research because they are not available in digital formats. These data are in danger of being lost because the media on which they are recorded may decay (e.g., paper) or become corrupted (e.g., electronic media), or the software/hardware in which they are embedded may be superceded by new types of software/hardware. Often, the data are inadequately housed, catalogued, or preserved.

Enhance the visibility of your scientific work and preserve your scientific heritage from technical forgetting. Include your spectral and/or photochemical data and information into the "UV/Vis+ Photochemistry Database".
