Albedo is the measure of reflectivity of a surface. It is the ratio of electromagnetic radiation (EM radiation) reflected to the amount incident upon it. The surface albedo is very important for calculating photolysis rates. Daily albedo fields are available from NASA TOMS and Aura OMI.
We have prepared monthly zonal mean average surface relectivities for use with AutoChem, they are available here. Download the archive to the same directory as contains the AutoChemV8 directory, i.e. if you are in the AutoChemV8 directory type cd ..
Unarchive the file by using
gzip -d albedo.tar.gz; tar -xvf albedo.tar
