Moe, A.B.F. Duncan Title: The Absorption Spectrum of Sulfur Hexafluoride in the Vacuum Ultraviolet Region Journal/Source: J. Chem. Phys., 19, 71-72, (1951); doi:10.1063/1.1747992 Data: Energy/Wavelength range: 60 ~ 160 nm Resolution: Temperature: Temperature dependence: Pressure/Concentration: Phase: gas pH: Comments: The spectrum of sulfur hexafluoride has been investigated down to wavelengths about 600 A. The maximum of the first electronic transition is found at about 1050 A. Three other transitions occur between this wavelength and 802 A, where strong continuous absorption begins, and nothing further can be resolved at shorter wavelengths.
