Burley, H.S. Johnston Title: Photoabsorption cross-sections of (FSO3)2 and FSO3 Journal/Source: J. Photochem. Photobiol. A: Chem., 66, 141-151, (1992); doi:10.1016/1010-6030(92)85208-C Data: table, diagram Wavelength/Energy range: 340 - 450 nm Resolution: Temperature: 298 K Temperature dependence: no Pressure/Concentration: Phase: pH: Comments: At wavelengths between 340 and 450 nm, temperature-dependent measurements yield both dimer and radical cross-sections. For this second set of data, calculated cross-sections depend strongly on the choice of K(eq) for the dimer—radical equilibrium. The results are analyzed with two different K(eq) values. For FSO3, the cross-sections increase from 5.51 × 10-19 cm2 at 340 nm to 4.21 × 10-18 cm2 at 450 nm (Keq) Dudley and Cady, J. Am. Chem. Soc., 85, 1963, 3375). The radical cross-sections increase from 4.30 × 10-19 cm2 at 340 nm to 3.29 × 10-18 cm2 at 450 nm (K(eq) Cobos et al., J. Phys. Chem., 93, 1989, 3089).
