Comments: The electronic absorption spectra of several alkyl chlorides in the energy region 50000 - 90000 cm-1 are
presented with extinction coefficients.
There is a weak diffuse band extending from 55000 - 60000 cm-1. The next band is centered at about 64000 cm-1. There are
sharp intense bands at 71070, 71750, and 74240 cm-1.
