Comments: The absorption spectra of benzene, naphthalene, anthracene, diphenyl, perylene, pyrene, phenanthrene and triphenylene have been investigated in solid solution at about -170°. The absorption bands are much narrower than at normal temperature and the difference in intensities between maxima and minima is more than doubled.
