Comments: The ultraviolet absorption spectra of 4-methylphthalic , 4,5-dimethylphthalic, 4,6-dimethylisophthalic, and 
2,5-dimethylterephthalic acids were measured in various solutions (isooctane, alcohol, water, concentrated (94-96%) sulfuric acid).
