Spectroscopy, 13, 1-8, (1964); doi:10.1016/0022-2852(64)90049-9 Data: diagram, table Energy/Wavelength range: ~ 150 - 185 nm Resolution: Temperature: 298 K Temperature dependence: no Pressure/Concentration: Phase: gas pH: Comments: The electronic spectra of gaseous formic acid, acetic acid, and ethyl acetate were measured in the vacuum ultraviolet region; new bands were found at 159, 160, and 164 nm, respectively. Their molecular extinction coefficients at the peak wavelengths are 2500 ~ 4200. Etyl acetate has a maximum at ~ 164 nm (epsilon ~ 3600).
