Comments: The absorption spectrum of succinic anhydride shows a broad maximum near 220 nm (extinction coefficient is about 25 M-1 cm-1), 
with absorption on the long-wavelength side extending to at least 300 nm. The photolysis was studied at wavelengths of 220,230,252, and 270 nm. 
Photolysis in this region gives CO2, CO, and C2H4.
