Scharping, C. Zetzsch, H.A. Dessouki Title: The uv absorption spectra of the trichlorobenzenes and the higher chlorinated benzenes in the gas phase and in n-hexane solution Journal/Source: J. Mol. Spectroscopy, 123, 382-391, (1987); https://doi.org/10.1016/0022-2852(87)90286-4 Data: table, diagram EnergyWavelength range: 40000 - 60000 cm-1 (~ 166 - 250 nm) Resolution: Temperature: Temperature dependence: Pressure/Concentration: Phase: gas, solution (n-hexane) pH: Comments: Absolute absorption cross sections are determined for the three isomeric trichlorobenzenes in the gas phase in the region from 33000 to 60000 cm-1, and relative absorption cross sections of the tetrachlorobenzenes, pentachlorobenzene, and hexachlorobenzene are presented in the region from 40000 to 60000 cm-1. At 49780 cm-1 the absorption cross sections for C6H2Cl4 is sigma(max) = 2.13 x 10^-16 cm2 (value derived with the assumption that SIGMA f = 1 (see original paper).
