science-softCon uv/vis spectra data base; www.uv-spectra.de; (C) science-softCon 2008 Substance: chlorine nitrate Other Names: Formula: ClONO2 CAS-No.: 14545-72-3 Study: quantum yields, photolysis Authors: S. L. Nickolaisen, S. P. Sander, R. R. Friedl Title: Pressure-Dependent Yields and Product Branching Ratios in the Broadband Photolysis of Chlorine Nitrate Journal/Source: J. Phys. Chem., 100 (24), 10165-10178, (1996); DOI: 10.1021/jp953612s Data: (diagram, table, disk): Wavelenght range: 254 nm Resolution: Temperature: Temperature dependence: Pressure: 10 - 100 Torr (bath gas) Comments: The absolute product yield displayed a pressure dependence, the branching between the two channels (1a: ClO + NO2; 1b: Cl + NO3) was independent of pressure. The relative branching ratios are 0.61 ± 0.20 for channel 1a and 0.39 ± 0.20 for channel 1b for photolysis with lambda > 200 nm and 0.44 ± 0.08 for channel 1a and 0.56 ± 0.08 for channel 1b for photolysis with lambda > 300 nm.
