the spectrum was recorded with an ACTON Spectra Pro 500 and 1200l/mm grating and
1024pixel Hamamatsu PDA spectral alignment was done according to the linear dispersion 
determined for the center wavelength: 257.64nm dispersion:     0.0385 
sigma was calculated from the known amounts of aromatic compound and the volume and 
absorption pathlength of the reference cell (L = 6.22 m)
