Comments: The u.v. absorption spectra of some substituted phenols, mostly with the substituents in the ortho positions, have 
been measured in mixtures of cyclohexane and ethanol and, in some cases, in mixtures of cyclohexane and alternative hydrogen 
bonding solvents.
